During lockdown, pupils who would have been eligible for a healthy free school meal were not at school to receive their food. City Catering brought nutritious and healthy lunches to them, helping families who were struggling financially even before the Covid-19 crisis hit.
School Lunches for Eligible Pupils
City Catering Southampton received a grant of £2,500 through the VIVID ‘We’re All Together’ Fund to provide schools with healthy packed lunches for pupils eligible for free school meals.
Bags of fresh groceries were also delivered to families allowing schools to continue to make contact with families and pupils during lockdown.
